More than 300 households and businesses in the village of Barmby Moor are now able to access superfast, fibre broadband, with speeds of at least 24Mbps, thanks to the Broadband East Riding programme.
The new technology is helping people in the village discover more about the internet via training sessions delivered at the local pub.

IT consultant Richard Hale has saved thousands on fuel bills and slashed his annual commute by more than 20,000 miles – thanks to the Broadband East Riding programme.
Self-employed Richard said existing broadband speeds to his home in Bridlington were so slow he was forced to make a 140 mile commute to offices in York and Leeds to connect with clients.
But the arrival of superfast broadband as part of the Broadband East Riding roll-out has enabled him to stay put, ditch his long commute and work from the family home, serving customers around the globe.

Michael Barnfather quit his office job of 30 years and launched his own venture as a bespoke cabinet maker – thanks to the arrival of superfast broadband.
The former office worker launched his Withernsea based enterprise Curved Work Woodwork last January but says he would have struggled to survive without high speed broadband and support from the Broadband East Riding project.
To help get his business off the ground Michael attended the free business support workshops into social media, finance and using ‘cloud’ services last summer.
